ADDITIONAL NOTES

Susana Bancalari, began her Hatha Yoga practice in 1980 in Mexico City upon finishing her degree in Graphic Design.  She spent more than 20 years in the corporate world, but always knew that one day she would become a Yoga Teacher and share the gift of Yoga.

Her teachers, Tere and Carmelita Romero, were key in her formation.  They were personally trained in the Krishnamacharya Tradition,  by Indra Devi, world known as “The First Lady of Yoga”.

Susana was certified as a Yoga Teacher by The Santa Barbara Yoga Center in Santa Bárbara, California in 2009.  Her certification studies include teacher training workshops with Yoga masters such as Erich Schiffmann, Sarah Powers, Cheri Clampett, Lisa Walford and Paul Grilley, to name a few.  For 3 years she travelled from Cabo San Lucas, to Santa Barbara, in order to complete her certification program.

She has also participated in  Ayurveda and Meditation workshops at the Chopra Center in San Diego, California.

Susana owned a Yoga studio in the Los Cabos area in Mexico, until she relocated to the town of Ajijic in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, where she lives today.

Presently, she teaches Yoga and Meditation to groups or individuals that are looking to create a more relaxed and stress free lifestyle, helping them find balance not only through the practice, but in daily activities too.  Her classes focus on gentle stretching and movement, holding of the poses, breath and relaxation techniques.  Through the practice of Yoga, she helps her students live the mind - body experience, emphasizing on the journey within, the connection to nature and the practice of kindness towards ourselves and others.

Recently, in 2020, she attended Online Workshops in Ayurveda, Energy and Quantum Healing and became re certified in Restorative Yoga I to learn to teach online and update her studies.
